In light of the current challenging times, and to celebrate the coming of spring, Eco Drama would like to share some arts-based nature connection activities with parents and carers of young children. These are drawn from our current production The Whirlybird, which is aimed at children aged 3-7 years. We’ll also be sharing more activities from our creative outdoor learning project Out to Play soon.
With the onset of COVID-19, Eco Drama had our 49 date UK tour of The Whirlybird theatre production sadly cut short, with a total of 20 dates in late March & April cancelled in theatre venues, schools, nurseries and festivals, including at the Edinburgh Science Festival. Although the show is not out delivering these dates with audiences across the UK, we wanted to share a couple of fun, arts-based nature activities from the resource pack which accompanies the show.
The activities below are both easily done from home and involve your child engaging with the wonder of birds, flight and nature. We hope you enjoy, and if you’d like to share any pictures of your creations or a play session in action, please do tag us on social media: @EcoDrama1 on Facebook, and @EcoDrama1 on Twitter. Happy flying!
