Eco Drama was set up in 2008 as a response to the environmental issues that have arisen on both a local and global level. In a recent poll done by The Energy Saving Trust:-
'Scots know less about Energy Saving than any other part of the UK...just 1 in 4 Scots knows enough about issues such as climate change and carbon emissions.'
In order to change our behaviour patterns and develop lifestyles which are sustainable, a more thorough education in this subject area is needed.
There are many current initiatives trying to encourage children to become more eco friendly. However, by using interactive theatre we are engaging the children both emotionally and intellectually, thus their learning is more effective.
